- Yuga Labs has announced a reincarnation of the Dookey Dash game before March this year
- The new version will be free to play for everyone
- Yuga has developed the new version in partnership with game studio Faraway
Web3 giant Yuga Labs is working on making its Dookey Dash game, previously open to Bored Ape and Mutant Ape NFT holders, open to everyone, including non-NFT holders. However, holders of the company’s NFTs, from Bored Ape to HV-MTL collectibles, will earn game rewards. Developed in partnership with game studio Faraway, the game will be available as a desktop and mobile application instead of being web-based as was the case with the original game, an indication that Yuga is focussing on improving the game’s smoothness.
New Character and Vehicle Skins
Dubbed Dookey Dash Unclogged, it follows the original game’s setup where gamers had to run through sewer lines and earn points along the way. In a video on X (formerly Twitter), Yuga teased an Apecoin logo, an unclear sign of whether those holding the company’s NFTs will receive their benefits in the form of ApeCoin (APE).
Looks like Curtis needs to get the plunger out, there’s something in the toilet.

The game will be available to gamers on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android-powered devices. Yuga Labs’ gaming council member known as The Fortnite Guy (TFG) revealed that the game is scheduled for launch mid-next month.

According to TFG, the game features “new character & vehicle skins,” adding that Yuga is working on another game which is slated for launch in April.
Over 700,000 Hours of Game Time
The original Dookey Dash game was launched in early 2023 and was characterized by news of players hiring professional gamers to get high scores. According to Yuga Labs, the players spent a cumulative 706,436 hours of game time with Esport player Kyle Jackson emerging as the winner.
Jackson sold his winning key for a whopping $1.63 million. Yuga Labs has been increasing its involvement in the blockchain gaming sector with new games like Legends of the Mara. It has also made strategic acquisitions of firms like Roar Studios to help enhance its games and other web3 missions.
With the new Dookey Dash game open to all, it’s likely to attract more players than the original game and increase the adoption of Yuga NFTs.
