- Immutable has partnered with Fireblocks to improve how developers manage game assets
- The partnership will also benefit NFT and DeFi protocol developers by enhancing the security of stored assets
- Immutable intends to use the partnership to redefine how developers on the Immutable zkEVM network secure and manage assets
Web3 gaming blockchain Immutable has partnered with Fireblocks, a digital assets infrastructure provider, to help game developers manage assets. Apart from game developers, the partnership will also benefit NFT and DeFi developers on the Immutable zkEVM blockchain. Immutable disclosed that it wants to use the partnership to redefine how developers manage and secure assets on a blockchain, something that may help reduce the risk of project assets being stolen.
A New Era of Scalability and Security
In an announcement, Immutable revealed that the integration with FIreblocks will increase developers’ “oversight of holdings” on the Polygon-powered Immutable blockchain. Immutable added that the partnership ushers in a new “era of scalability and security for self-custodial digital asset management.”

Immutable’s co-founder Robbie Ferguson said that the partnership allows Immutable developers to use Fireblocks’ network to scale their projects without compromising the security and the smooth operation of their games and DeFi projects.
Fireblocks’ web3 head Omer Amsel commented on the integration saying that it can drive the growth of “web3 gaming and DeFi industries.”
Immutable Retires NFT Marketplace
The Immutable-Fireblocks partnership comes a few days after the web3 gaming blockchain disclosed that it’s sunsetting its NFT marketplace to start supporting other similar marketplaces on the Immutable zkEVM blockchain.
It also comes at a time when Immutable is partnering with notable entities like Amazon and Ubisoft to either introduce new features in the industry or create blockchain games. Among Immutable’s latest features is the ability for game developers to cover gas fees.
With Immutable partnering with Fireblocks, it’s likely that more developers will join the zkEVM blockchain to take advantage of recently launched features.
