A new podcast series focusing on Craig Wright’s history of claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto promises to bring his audacious attempts in the mainstream. Wright has openly claimed to be Bitcoin’s creator since 2015 but his claims have been marred by factual inconsistencies and his negative actions towards the community, which include suing prominent detractors. Dr Bitcoin – The Man Who Wasn’t Satoshi Nakamoto, which is being written and produced by the CONTENT:ED Media company in association with noted Wright skeptic and FullyCrypto interviewee Arthur van Pelt, will be the first time Wright’s story has been brought together in such a way.

Wright’s Claims Date Back to 2015

Wright rose from obscurity to instant fame in December 2015 when Wired and Gizmodo magazines revealed that someone had tried to doxx him as Satoshi Nakamoto, although they found several glaring inconsistencies in the story and the evidence supplied, and in the end traced leaked emails back to Wright himself.

Wright followed this up with a series of disastrous proof sessions on behalf of a PR company in 2016, an attempt that ended in ignominy when he failed to go through with a bitcoin transfer from one of Satoshi’s early wallets. Wright retreated from public life until coming back to prominence with the creation of Bitcoin SV, later rebranded by financial backer Calvin Ayre to BS…B…BSV Enterprise Utility Blockchain or However You Want to Phrase The Words, which the pair say represents Satoshi’s true vision of a data management system for enterprises.

For the avoidance of doubt, it doesn’t.

Hostile Takeover is Well Underway

Wright is involved in several lawsuits including against 16 blockchain developers, Peter McCormack, Twitter user Hodlonaut, Roger Ver, COPA, and the estate of Dave Kleiman, all of which represent his latest effort to take control of Bitcoin five years after his legitimate claims fell apart.

Dr Bitcoin – The Man Who Wasn’t Satoshi Nakamoto, which is slated for release in 2021, promises to be a fascinating listen and will introduce the incredible true story of Craig Wright to a whole new audience who will get the chance to make their own minds up about whether they ring true or not.
