  • Fetch.ai has unveiled a web3-focused AI model to bring AI to blockchain projects
  • Fetch.ai described the model as the “world’s first web3 LLM, designed for agentic AI”
  • Dubbed ASI-1 Mini, the model is optimized to handle complex web3 workflows

AI-centric platform Fetch.ai has unveiled the “world’s first web3 LLM’,” an AI model designed and optimized to handle complex workflows in the web3 world. Known as ASI-1 Mini, it allows users to securely integrate it with their web3 systems with the integration contributing to its development. Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh said the model “is just the start” as they plan to roll out more AI-based tools to cater to diverse web3 needs, a move that will increase the interaction between AI and blockchain-based projects.

ASI-1 Mini Matches Other LLMs

According to Fetch.ai, ASI-1 Mini’s capability matches that of leading AI applications using large language models (LLMs). It added that the model has fewer hardware requirements than other models in the market.

The platform disclosed that the AI model is the first in the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) as it plans to launch another model focusing on generalized intelligence. Sheikh revealed that ASI-1 Mini will allow web3 users to train their models and benefit from “cutting-edge AI” technology.

He also noted that the web3-focused AI model ensures that AI’s value creation “remains in the hands of those who fuel its growth.” Fetch.ai said that the model significantly enhances transparency, allows for real-time correction, and has a higher reliability.

ASI-1 Mini Interacts With Other AI Agents

The ASI-1 Mini model can collaborate with other AI agents, enabling it to handle business operations, manage databases, and interact with application programming interfaces (APIs).

Fetch.ai isn’t the only AI-centric platform to announce web3-focused AI agents. Last month, for example, ai16z’s creator Eliza Labs released a whitepaper detailing the functions of web3-focused AI agents that can interact with the blockchain and smart contracts.

With Fetch.ai unveiling a web3-focused AI model, it’s to be seen whether other top AI-centric firms like OpenAI will also create blockchain-specific models.
