PancakeSwap to Ease BNB Chain Token Creation

  • PancakeSwap has unveiled a feature easing the creation of tokens on BNB Chain
  • The feature removes the need to have coding knowledge when creating the tokens
  • Known as PancakeSwap SpringBoard, it also removes the token launch fees

PancakeSwap has unveiled PancakeSwap SpringBoard, a new feature that eases the creation of BNB Chain-powered tokens. The feature removes the need for users to have prior knowledge in blockchain coding, removes token launch fees, and also incorporates a mechanism that handles token distribution after launch. PancakeSwap Springboard’s functionalities resemble those of Solana’s Pump.fun, something that may contribute to a rise in BNB Chain-based memecoins.

Token Creation Takes “Just a Few Clicks”

Announcing the feature, the DEX said the platform is open to developers “building a memecoin, a community-driven project, or a DeFi project,” adding the token creation process takes “just a few clicks.”

The DEX disclosed that users only interact with basic settings such as inputting their project’s name and ticker and PancakeSwap SpringBoard handles the technical side. The platform also offers users other benefits such as transparent trading fees and minimal seeding fees.

The platform’s users can pair their tokens with USDT, BNB, and PancakeSwap’s CAKE as trading pairs. Tokens launched on the platform are automatically listed for trading on the DEX once they attain a liquidity of approximately 24 BNB or when their liquidity “reaches 100% of the bonding curve.”

PancakeSwap SpringBoard differs from Pump.fun by providing a one-stop-place for token creation and launching, something that enhances user experience. SpringBoard’s launch comes at a time when more blockchain-focused entities are working to abstract the technical aspects when creating blockchain projects.

SpringBoard Isn’t The Only Pump.fun-Like Platform

Three months ago, for example, HTC launched Viverse Create, a tool that removes the need for metaverse game creators to learn how to code. In March, BNB Chain unveiled a new service that removes the technical aspect when creating layer 2 networks.

The new PancakeSwap feature also comes three weeks after NFT platform Tensor unveiled a Pump.fun-like platform called Vector.fun.

Although SpringBoard supports different types of tokens, it’s likely to be used to launch more memecoins than DeFi projects’ tokens.
