  • What are the four Bitcoin and crypto podcasts we think make essential listening?

The Bitcoin and crypto podcast space has come on leaps and bounds in the years since we compiled our first ‘must listen’ list, with the quality improving along with the growth of crypto itself. Today you can expect professional quality production, great guests and fascinating chat.

We last updated our list two years ago, so it’s about time to revisit the top four Bitcoin and crypto podcasts of 2023.

Unchained

Unchained host Laura Shin is a legend in the crypto space, and she rightly attracts all the top guests to her show. When a big news story breaks you can be sure that the person or people responsible will be talking to her about it within a matter of days. There’s a reason why hers is the only podcast still here from our original list.

If you like your crypto and blockchain chat with a nice blend of current affairs and technical jiggery pokery, Unchained is the podcast for you.

What Bitcoin Did

What Bitcoin Did Host Peter McCormack has a knack for getting guests that other podcasts can’t, which makes for some very intriguing content. From Craig Wright to El Salvador president Nayib Bukele, McCormack covers a huge range of Bitcoin-related questions and topics, from current affairs to more general matters.

This is a show that Bitcoin fans should not miss.

Bankless

If you want a more ‘money’-centered approach to your podcasts, Bankless is for you. Bankless calls itself the “ultimate guide to crypto finance,” covering DeFi, NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and more, getting the thoughts from not insignificant players along the way – Representative Warren Davidson recently made an appearance, as did Vitalik Buterin.

If you want to learn about the latest tactics and strategies to make the most of your crypto investment, go Bankless.

Dr Bitcoin – The Man Who Wasn’t Satoshi Nakamoto

Many people think they know the Craig Wright story, but they don’t. This author and Craig Wright debunker Arthur van Pelt delve into the decade-long madness that is Wight’s claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, which takes in billion-dollar court cases, lies, forgeries, perjury, and much, much more.

Series 1 of Dr Bitcoin covers the story from 2009-2021, while season 2 features monthly updates on Wright’s many court cases, plus the crazy goings-on in his world and beyond. Even if you’re not into crypto, this is one mad story.
