Yuki Gambaryan Pleads for Husband’s Safe Return

Tigran Gambaryan’s arrest sparked concern within the financial and legal communities, given his significant contributions to combating cybercrime, and his visual appearance during his visits to court has backed Yuki’s concerns over his health.

In the video, Yuki expressed the profound impact Tigran’s detention has had on their family and emphasized his dedication to justice and fairness:

Yuki called on authorities to reconsider his case and for public support in ensuring his release, advocating for a fair trial and asserting his innocence.

Gambaryan Loses Use of Foot

Gambaryan was initially charged with tax evasion and money laundering, charges authorities have also leveled at Binance. The tax evasion charges were later dropped, but Gambaryan is still being prosecuted for money laundering. Gambaryan pleaded not guilty, with his trial beginning in June, but it was suspended in July after the judiciary broke for vacation.

Initially placed under house arrest, Gambaryan was later moved to Kuje prison—a facility infamous for housing violent offenders, including Boko Haram militants—after his colleague, British-Kenyan citizen Nadeem Anjarwalla, managed to escape.

While incarcerated at Kuje prison, Gambaryan has reportedly contracted malaria, suffered from double pneumonia, and experienced numbness in his foot, which has become so severe he can no longer walk.
