Solana-powered meme coin Bonk has launched an arcade shooter game known as Bonk Arena to boost the coin’s on-chain volume. Developed in partnership with gaming studio Bravo Ready, the game is accessible through the Phantom wallet app, web browsers, and the upcoming PSG1 handheld gaming device. The game uses the “pay-to-spawn, win-to-earn” model that requires players to stake 10,000 BONK tokens to shoot their opponents and acquire the stake of those they kill, a model that’s likely to excite players as they seek to increase their BONK holding by eliminating their opponents.
The First “Fully Branded” Bonk Game
According to Bonk’s pseudonymous contributor Nom, Bonk has previously been used as a currency in other games, but Bonk Arena is the first “fully branded” Bonk game. He added that the game offers a mobile experience and is looking forward to community responses on “areas to expand the Bonk presence.”

Bravo Ready’s Evan Ryer noted that the game adds utility to the meme coin project, adding that the game’s activities will be recorded on the blockchain. The game has partnered with other entities to “distribute a huge prize pool to Bonk Arena players for gameplay and content creation.”
Bonk Arena disclosed that the rewards exceed $50,000. The game charges a service fee of between 0% and 10%. A portion of the fees will be allocated towards BONK burns and charitable causes.
Bonk Arena Loot Box NFT Available
The game also has a “Bonk Arena Loot Box” NFT that holds undisclosed benefits. The collectible is available on NFT marketplace Magic Eden. According to the NFT’s page on Magic Eden, the box is worth 0.04 SOL or roughly $6.4. The page describes the collectible as “the NFT of the official Bonk game, Bonk Arena.”
The Bonk meme coin project already has a DAO, Bonk DAO, and a decentralized exchange known as BonkSwap. The meme coin was also the official rewards token for Solana’s Chapter 2 mobile phone.
With Bonk launching a video game, it’s likely that other meme coin projects like Simon’s Cat will also follow the same path.
