Burwick Law and Wolf Popper LLP have taken legal action against the notorious Solana token deployment platform Pump.fun, demanding the immediate removal of tokens that impersonate their firms and attorneys. The firms emphasize they have no affiliation with the Dogshit2 token or any related assets and warn of legal consequences for unauthorized use of their names or intellectual property. They also accuse Pump.fun of enabling third parties to intimidate their clients and interfere with ongoing litigation.
Pump.fun Controversy Knows no Bounds
In a strongly worded statement on X, Burwick Law and Wolf Popper LLP announced they have sent a cease and desist letter to Pump.fun, calling for the removal of tokens that fraudulently use their intellectual property. “Our firms have no affiliation, endorsement, or ownership interest in the Dogshit2 token or any related assets,” the statement reads. “Simply put, our firms have not launched any memecoins onchain.”

The law firms assert that Pump.fun has the technical ability to remove these tokens but has failed to act, despite the financial and legal risks they pose to the public. They warn that continued misuse of their identities could lead to immediate legal action.
Allegations of Market Manipulation and Harassment
Beyond the unauthorized use of their names, Burwick Law and Wolf Popper LLP claim that Pump.fun has facilitated a broader effort to intimidate their clients and interfere with litigation, alleging, “These efforts include the creation of memecoins that impersonate our plaintiffs. These acts represent the use of blockchain technologies as a tool for disrupting justice and due process.”
They further caution investors about the risks of engaging with the Dogshit2 token, alleging that it is part of a pump-and-dump scheme. According to their statement, promoters are actively pushing the token despite its high risk and potential fraudulent nature. If Pump.fun does not comply with their demands, further legal action may follow to prevent the misuse of their intellectual property.
Others, however, are not convinced of the law firms’ innocence:
How do you explain that:
1)the exhibit in the lawsuit you filed shows very clear steps as to launching a Pump token, implying that you were involved in the launch
2)the token image of dogshit2 is taken from outside the apartment building that max burwick allegedly lives in?— Mike Dudas (@mdudas) February 5, 2025
Pump.fun has yet to comment on the demand.
