- Snoop Dogg has sparked intrigue with the revelation that he is behind the Twitter moniker Cozomo de’ Medici
- Cozomo has bought millions of dollars worth of NFTs and tweets regularly about them
- The doxing apparently set off a series of curious and unexplained secretive events
The identity of NFT collector Cozomo de’ Medici has been revealed as none other than Snoop Dogg, but it seems that his reveal has not gone as planned. The world famous rapper revealed his true identity on Monday, but in a series of tweets from his alter ego Twitter account he revealed that “events have transpired most would not believe, nor understand”, leaving much to the imagination. As Cozomo de’ Medici, Snoop has collected millions of dollars worth of NFTs and has sent numerous tweets on the subject, something he has pledged to continue to do despite his identity being known.
Three-way Pact Fails But Cozomo de’ Medici is Revealed
Snoop’s identity reveal was a three-way pact between two other NFT collectors, Keyboard Monkey and VincentVanDough. While the latter pair failed to make good on the deal, Cozomo de’ Medici did, although the party was almost spoiled just minutes before:
Father made a phone call. The dox will go on. ~ CdM

These mysterious “important and powerful people” were of course not named, but Snoop’s request that any DMs with Twitter users be deleted is suggestive of a desire not to keep records for some reason. Either way the dox continued, with Snoop even holding a competition to reward the first person who spotted it on Twitter. It didn’t take long for news to get out:
Snoop?!? The legend!!!

Snoop then tweeted from his Cozomo de’ Medici account to report that those unbelievable and incomprehensible events had taken place since the dox, pledging to keep tweeting about NFTs and, presumably, buying them:
Shortly, as promised, I will dox from my personal account.
As my fame is considerable, the tweet will no doubt be discovered. Those who are curious to my identity will soon know it.

Snoop Dogg Presence Not That Shocking
While Snoop’s presence as a regular contributor to NFT banter was unexpected, his presence in the NFT world has already been established – in April he bought out his own line of multimedia NFTS including audio and visual content, and just three weeks later showcased a collaboration with the famous Nyan cat.
The world will likely never know what the events behind the dox were and who was behind them, but at least the crypto world can now say that it is in the presence of greatness.
