Our Christmas message for 2022 was hardly an upbeat one: crypto had taken a beating, with Sam-Bankman Fried almost single-handedly ruining it for everyone. However, as it always does, crypto has picked itself up, dusted itself down, and even managed to bat its Tether-supported eyelashes at the likes of BlackRock and Fidelity. As a result, both have emerged as two of the goliaths wanting to take Bitcoin to the ETF ball next year, putting Bitcoin within touching distance of the Holy Grail.
Crypto has enjoyed a resurgence that began all the way back on January 1, months before any talk of an ETF, showing its resilience once again. With a Bitcoin halving also due next year, we can look forward to the next 12 months in crypto in a positive way for the first time since 2020, with a little cash in our back pockets too.
