- Binance’s AI NFT tool has set a record by churning out 10,000 NFTs less than three hours after going live
- Known as Bicasso, the tool employs AI to bridge the gap between “creative visions” and digital artworks
- The generated artworks aren’t available for trading yet
Binance’s artificial intelligence-based NFT tool has set a record by churning out 10,000 digital collectibles in its first 2.5 hours after going live. Known as Bicasso, the tool seeks to bridge the gap between “creative visions” and digital artworks. The generated NFTs aren’t available for trading since Bicasso is in beta mode and the artworks were part of a testing sample, but the achievement is a sample of what we might expect when AI meets NFTs in the future.
Turning Creative Visions Into NFTs Through AI
According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, the AI-powered NFT generator experienced some difficulties due to heavy traffic but later functioned as expected. Zhao sees Bicasso as a way to turn “creative visions into NFTs.”
BICASSO first pilot just completed with 10K NFT minted in 2.5 hours. The AI was a little stressed out, but caught its breathe now. 😂 https://t.co/BBRevAdIUc

The AI-generated collectibles emanated from slightly above 9,900 Bicasso users who later posted their artworks on Twitter, adding to the excitement around the NFT tool. Note that minted collectibles live on Binance’s blockchain BNB Chain and are linked to the crypto exchange’s NFT trading platform Binance NFT.
Yuga Labs and Sotheby’s Launch Generative NFTs
Bicasso works on user-uploaded images or prompts to generate artwork. A prompt can include something like “a cat wearing sunglasses.” Although the AI-based NFT creator resembles other similar platforms like DALL-E that can whip up an image just by entering a phrase, it sets itself apart as the first in the fold to natively connect on an NFT marketplace where users can trade their “creative visions.”
Binance’s jump into generative digital art comes three days after Yuga Labs launched a Bitcoin NFT collection with 300 generative collectibles and six days after Sotheby’s announced a generative NFT collection inspired by the Snow Crash novel.
Although this indicates that computer-generated artworks are gaining momentum, it’s yet to be seen whether this new art form will compete in value with other NFT types.
