Blockchain gaming-focused network Ronin has partnered with web3 payments infrastructure provider Transak to ease crypto and NFT payments and purchases. The partnership will enable Ronin users to purchase digital assets using credit or debits. Transak believes that offering Ronin users, especially gamers, an easy option to purchase on-chain assets will improve how they engage with Ronin-based projects, marking another milestone in easing the interaction between web2 and web3 worlds.

Collectors To Have “A More Frictionless” Experience

The partnership also involves linking Ronin’s NFT marketplace, Mavis Market, with Transak’s NFT Checkout to provide collectors with a “more frictionless” experience. According to Transak, connecting Mavis Market and NFT Checkout provides Ronin users with the same experience as when interacting with a traditional e-commerce platform.

Transak CEO Sami Start noted that buying “NTFs should be as intuitive as shopping online.” The integration supports bulk NFT purchases and also allows Roning users to buy collectibles worth as low as $0.01.

According to Jeff Zirlin, the co-founder of Ronin’s creator Sky Mavis, the partnership expands “the options for users to seamlessly onramp into Ronin.” Zirlin added that the collaboration is part of Sky Mavis’ mission to provide economic freedom.

Enabling NFT Purchases Using Apple Pay and Google Pay

Apart from allowing crypto purchases using credit and debit cards, Transak’s integration into Ronin will also support crypto and NFT purchases using Apple Pay and Google Pay. The web3 payments infrastructure provider added that the streamlined process paves the way for new collectors and blockchain gamers to join Ronin.

The partnership comes a year after Ronin added new features to its wallet, Ronin Wallet. Some of the features included an inbuilt web browser, support for more chains, a new design, and introduced multi-party computation to improve user assets’ security.

With Ronin partnering with Transak to improve NFT purchases, it’s to be seen whether this move will help increase Ronin’s adoption rate.
