The popular Telegram trading bot Unibot witnessed a 50% drop in its token value yesterday

following revelations of internal discord between its Ethereum and Solana developers. Unibot’s Ethereum team revealed that it has terminated collaboration with their Solana counterparts, citing alleged breaches of previous agreements after the latter allegedly launched a Blast bot named “evm_unibot” without obtaining permission and authorization from Unibot, with the group also alleged to have refused to perform KYC and failed to honor commitments around fees. In return, the Solana collective announced intentions to rebrand independently from Unibot’s Ethereum team.

The dispute began when Unibot issued an X post regarding a “significant update”:

Unibot claimed that the Ethereum developers no longer represented the project’s “core values for transparency, security, and honesty” after the Solana developers launched the bot “without obtaining prior permission and authorization from us,” which the group said led to “security concerns” and prompted them to transition to in-house development on their in-house servers.

In response, the Ethereum team demanded a name change from the Solana group, currently operating under the Unibot name, with pseudonymous Unibot Solana builder Reethmos stating that the split would not affect Unibot’s users:

Unibot’s UNIBOT token crashed from $75 to $35 in the aftermath of the dispute, but has since recovered to $47.
