Telegram is a secure, encrypted messaging service commonly used as by cryptocurrency communities and projects. In 2018, Telegram announced their own ICO for GRAM tokens, a currency to run on their forthcoming TON network. The ICO raised $1.7 billion, but has since run into legal trouble with the American authorities, and has not launched.
