Jamie Dimon is the CEO of JPMorgan, one of the world’s biggest banks. He is also known for his staunchly negative views on Bitcoin, which he has frequently repeated since his first public comments in 2015. During his time he has labelled Bitcoin a fraud and has said that as a currency it is “going to go nowhere”. Dimon has however been consistently bullish on blockchain technology, having first directed JMorgan’s resources towards it in 2015. In 2019 JPMorgan announced their own cryptocurrency, JPM Coin, which will be used as an inter-bank payment method, illustrating Dimon’s faith in blockchain technology.
