BlackRock: Ethereum ETF Inflows “Underwhelming”
Ethereum is an open platform that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps). Founded in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum allows participants to run decentralized blockchain applications called smart contracts, which are contracts that self-execute when certain conditions are met, removing the need for middlemen. The Ethereum blockchain hosts a large number of other cryptocurrencies who often move from Ethereum’s ERC20 token format to their own format once they launch their networks, which explains why the ETH token is consistently in the top 3 coins in terms of market cap.
