Turn On the Night With Dark Mode
Metamask launched its mobile app in 2019, with the amount of updates and changes to the crypto space since then rendering it almost unrecognizable from its earliest incarnation. The latest update brings dark mode to the app, something that Metamask called âOne of our most anticipated feature requestsâ, although of more interest is surely the ability to buy crypto on iOS devices, which is possible thanks to a tie-in with crypto company Wyre.
iOS users were already able to buy crypto through the Metamask app with debit cards, but users can now use Visa and MasterCard credit cards via Apple Pay, although buying crypto on credit is not something we would recommend.
Metamask Introduces Contract Labeling
Another addition to the app is related to contracts, with users now having the ability to label recurring contracts on Dapps, with added transparency on each contract to ensure the contract youâre about to sign is the one you intended.
As a final goodie, Metamask mobile will now support gasless transactions on networks that allow it, such as private blockchains, or when a protocol pays for the gas on your behalf. Such networks are few and far between right now, but Metamaskâs support ensures that it has futureproofed the app for growth of these networks.
