Cryptoys has announced the Star Wars NFT collection to mark this year’s Star Wars Day which is celebrated on May 4. The collection will have 15 collectibles featuring Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and other popular figures in the multimedia franchise. The new collection is expected to drop later this month on the Flow blockchain.
Reveal NFT after Purchase
The NFTs will have five rarity levels ranging from Common to Ultra Grail. However, collectors will only be able to view the Star Wars figure in their possession only after purchasing an artwork that is wrapped in a box.

According to Will Weinraub, the CEO of Cryptoys’ owner OnChain Studios, the launch of the NFTs will be a dream come true because he has been a Star Wars fan since an early age. However, this isn’t the first digital artwork collection dedicated to the popular series since there are other NFT platforms like VeVe that have already created collectibles and comic book covers featuring characters in the franchise.
DC Comics has Millions of NFTs
This is also not Cryptoys first stab at NFTs because it controls another collection dubbed Masters of the Universe.
The NFT-based comics industry has also attracted the attention of DC Comics who partnered with Palm NFT Studio to create millions of digital collectibles. Others like NounsDAO recently announced a comic book series available as an NFT and in physical form.
With Star Wars being an age-old series, its characters crossing over to the collectibles space will contribute to NFT adoption.
