Crypto exchange Coinbase continues to advance its mission of easing access to web3 services and products and has announced a new application that allows users to connect and view all their blockchain wallets in one place. The app will be available to all crypto users including non-Coinbase customers. Some of the supported wallets include MetaMask and Phantom, a move that provides an aggregated view of wallets across the NFT, metaverse and gaming scenes.

A One-Stop Shop for Crypto Trading

According to Coinbase, the app is web-based and available on mobile and desktop. Apart from an aggregated view of all user wallets, the app also provides a “one-stop shop for trading” across top chains like Solana, Ethereum, Base and Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

The crypto exchange noted that the app comes to provide crypto users an easy way to track their assets without the need to use manual spreadsheets and opening multiple tabs as has been the norm in the space.

Coinbase also noted that the web app provides other benefits like exploring, engaging, managing and interacting with communities and businesses on the blockchain. The exchange disclosed that the move is tied to its smart wallet which also works to simplify access to the blockchain world by reworking crypto wallets’ sign-in options.

WhatsApp Crypto Transfers Available

Four months ago, Coinbase updated its Coinbase Wallet SDK to introduce a seed-free crypto wallet feature. Its mission to redefine how people interact with crypto has also seen it enable WhatsApp-based crypto transfers.

With the new web app allowing users to see all their wallets in a central point, it’s to be seen whether it will help reduce the amount of crypto lost due to forgotten and inaccessible wallets.
