- Bitrefill integrated Binance Pay in October and it has revolutionized the way the platform works
- Purchases now take seconds as opposed to minutes and are a great alternative to crypto debit cards
- Binance Pay takes care of the back end of the payment, allowing the purchase to be instant
“You can’t buy anything with cryptocurrency” is quickly becoming the latest invalid argument against the sector, with crypto integration now in the works for Visa and MasterCard, alongside a host of other solutions. One of the most long-standing options has been buying gift cards, and Bitrefill has been one of the best options for doing this for some years. Bitrefill has always looked to smooth the process of buying gift cards, and with the integration of Binance Pay the process now takes seconds rather than minutes.
Bitrefill Integrated Binance Pay in October
Binance Pay was launched in February this year and was integrated into Bitrefill in mid-October. The platform allows simple and fast payments from a Binance user to a merchant, using a logged in Binance account to verify the purchase rather than the tedious 3-step withdrawal process. Betrefill’s integration of Binance Pay makes sense from their perspective, and the good news is that it works exactly as intended.
Previously, Bitrefill users would select the gift card amount and Bitrefill would produce an address to send the funds to, with users asked to take into account the transaction fee into their total calculations. They would then have to withdraw the crypto from Binance, requiring an email confirmation code and a 2FA code, with the funds then having to hit the blockchain and get confirmed before the gift card could be released.
Lightning Quick Payments Offer Debit Card Alternative
With Binance Pay the process is light years quicker. The user selects their crypto preference in their Binance app (e.g. Bitcoin first, then USDT, then ETH) so they know where the funds are coming from as well as a 6-digit pin. Once a gift card amount is chosen a Binance Pay QR code is produced for the purchase, which the user scans with the Binance app, enters their pin…and that’s it. Bitrefill produces the gift card code instantly, and Binance Pay handles the rest.
The entire process from QR code production to delivery takes about 10 seconds, making Bitrefill one of the best ways to use your crypto in the real world if you haven’t got a crypto debit card.
