A new center dedicated to driving blockchain innovation and positioning Abu Dhabi as a leading global hub for industry events and workshops has officially opened. The Blockchain Center is set to foster a dynamic ecosystem for startups, enterprises, and academic institutions, aiming to establish the city as a premier destination for blockchain technology and innovation. The move comes months nine months after a new web3 framework was published, showing the city’s faith in the sector.

Abu Dhabi Hopes to be Global Blockchain Hub

The Blockchain Center’s mission is to host top-tier global events and workshops that connect industry leaders, serving as a launchpad for the latest blockchain technology applications. In addition, the center will feature an incubation and acceleration hub designed to nurture emerging startups and promote technological advancements.

Abdulla Al Dhaheri, CEO of the Blockchain Center, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch during its official opening:

We are thrilled to launch the Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi. Our vision is to create a global hub for blockchain innovation, education, and collaboration right here in Abu Dhabi.

Education and Launchpad Facilities

The center will not only provide a supportive environment for startups but also offer cutting-edge educational programs to enhance blockchain knowledge and skills. A hands-on human resources training center will ensure a continuous pipeline of talent, crucial for sustaining the growth and development of the blockchain sector.

Moreover, the Blockchain Center will incorporate a venture capital arm to support and invest in web3 startups, providing them with the necessary resources to succeed. This initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to become a significant player in the digital assets and blockchain technology landscape.
