Bitmain News

Bitmain is a Chinese company, founded in 2013, that manufactures application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chips for cryptocurrency mining hardware. By 2018 it had become the world’s largest designer of chips for bitcoin mining. The company also operates BTC.com and Antpool, historically two of Bitcoin’s largest mining pools. In 2018 they launched an IPO for $18 billion, valuing the company at $40 billion, but the IPO received little interest and was delisted when it expired in March 2019.
