Consensus 2022 (June 9-12)

The world’s biggest crypto event gets another airing, although this time New York has been ditched in favour of Austin, Texas. This isn’t a surprise given the state’s pro-crypto stance of late, and if nothing it’s a nice change.

Consensus 2022 will cover various topics surrounding blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, Web 3, and the metaverse. Consensus organiser CoinDesk says it aims to encourage deep conversation, trigger essential debates, and give the audience a one-of-a-kind experience of how crypto and related technologies transform finance, investing, culture, entertainment, and marketing and governance.

As usual the speaking roster is chock full of crypto luminaries, including:

  • Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO, FTX
  • Abby Johnson, Chairman, and CEO, Fidelity Investments
  • Neal Stephenson, Author
  • Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator, U.S. Senate
  • Dan Schulman, President/CEO, PayPal
  • Changpeng Zhao, Founder/CEO, Binance
