Man Utd and CR7 Go Head to Head

Football giant Manchester United has revealed plans to give its fans NFT gifts powered by the Tezos blockchain. The gifts will be followed by purchasable digital collectibles which combined with the free ones will give fans a seat in the club’s Web 3.0 community.

The announcement comes when one of the club’s legendary players, Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom it has had a massive falling out in recent days, is set to launch the CR7 NFT collection on November 18.

Nike Announces .Swoosh

Sports giant Nike this week announced .Swoosh (dot swoosh), a new Web 3.0 platform and ecosystem designed to appeal to traditional fans of the brand rather than the crypto community and early adopters.

The company, which has already taken big steps into the Web 3.0 world, is developing a standalone Web 3.0 strategy through the domain Swoosh.nike. .Swoosh, which launches Friday, will be the home of Nike’s virtual creations, with a first digital collection dropping in January.

Some FTX NFTs Are No Longer Accessible

After the FTX saga impacted NFT prices across the market, the focus is now turning to projects that used FTX NFT as their exclusive launch platform – reports show that collectors are unable to move or even access their collections on the exchange.

Holders have reported that even digital artworks held in external wallets are impacted, with links to the platform no longer available. The NFT market has been a surprise victim of the FTX collapse, with these new issues highlighting the problem with not hosting NFTs on IPFS.
