Did You Know You Can Start Mining DigiByte in Under 60 Seconds?

Reading Time: 2 minutes
  • You’ll soon be able to start mining DigiByte in under 60 seconds thanks to RandomX
  • The new RandomX feature that will allow you to start mining DigiByte will be out some time in 2021
  • The future of mining DigiByte has never looked so promising before

When it comes to the mining side of the crypto world, many people instantly think that they either need to be super smart and techy, or have a ton of money to buy their own mining farm. While both parts help, they’re not always necessary.

That brings us to DigiByte. The DigiByte dev team is currently working in implementing support for XMRig, which will allow you to go from regular joe to superhero mining king in less than a minute – how cool is that!

It Actually Takes Less Than 60 Seconds!

In order to set up a typical mining rig, get everything configured and rolling, it can take anywhere between an hour and a day, it all depends on your skill level. So, DigiByte has decided to throw this convention into the wind and support RandomX. From the moment you download the app to get it up and running, you’ll have spent less than 60 seconds of your life.

All you will need to do is download the XMRig software, set the algorithm as RandomX, set the mining pool details, put in your DGB address and input a password. Once you’ve done that, you can run XMRig and you’ll be mining DigiByte with RandomX in less than 60 seconds.

You’re Going to Have to Wait a Little Longer

Unfortunately, implementing RandomX isn’t a quick or easy thing to do, especially for a non-ico coin that doesn’t have billions in funding. The voluntary development team behind DigiByte is pouring countless hours into perfecting the implementation so that the DigiByte community can continue to thrive and grow.

So, for the time being, you’re going to have to sit on the sidelines and wait. The team is working around the clock to make it happen, but the DigiByte development team WILL make it happen in the very near future.

We know that you can’t wait to start mining DigiByte using RandomX, but be patient and hang in there just a little bit more. It’s going to be well worth the wait. This new mining system will open the door to tons of new mining options for DigiByte, meaning we could eventually see mobile mining enabled for DigiByte too – how cool will that be!
